This year is certainly a bumper crop. |

| Celtic muse replied on 28/10/2009 at 11:29 e-mail Celtic muse | Thanks for your responses...We may have a solution for the worse effected area, someone has suggested a outside vacuum which worked for them.
I had a word with our neighbours (English) last year about the problem because some large boughs from their trees have fallen into the field...I consider this as fairly dangerous but they obviously don't ,as they have not done a thing about it.
The boughs are too high and large for us to do anything about...so perhaps a trip to the Mairie to find out about our rights on this particular issue, is the way forward....
thanks again |
| lewingale1 replied on 07/11/2009 at 23:44 e-mail lewingale1 | I have to agree what a nuisance they are this year!! i have had to resort to just fencing off the affected areas, but as previous person said they are now harder to pick up as the grass is growing over them.
I have also been told that pigs are the best solution, either to bring to the field, or collect acorns for one
will be trying to get them all cut back this winter.
