Saddle fitting is very very neglected here and it is a great idea to try and raise awareness of the importance of a good fitting saddle.

There is a lady in Paris who has invested in the saddle pressure testing pad which has hundreds of tiny pressure chips which is fitted under the saddle and sends live feedback to her laptop, showing the pad on her laptop with 3 or 4 colours representing the levels of pressure. blue, green .. yellow and red.. So, you are able to pin point exactly where the saddle is putting too much pressure!

She is also able to put the rider on the pad whilst riding the horse and it clearly shows where you centre of mass is and how balanced you are as a rider... now thats interesting!

I know she does consultations, so, as a spin off from your event, i know she will come to brittany if there are enough people who would like their saddles checked.. it really is an amazing piece of equipment and i know she is even working with the likes of Denoix!!

Yes, tables [or space] will be available to rent at 5 euros a go paid in advance [cheques made payable to SOSAD] and I so agree about the state of saddle fitting here!

I saw the piece of kit you mentioned when I attended a seminar organised by the Cadre Noir in Saumur, where the "coloured results" ie pressure points were displayed on a huge screen for all the audience to see. which of course moved, as the rider shifted his weight!

Whether there would be sufficient interest around here, I 'm not sure!!

Will have to wait and see how many turn up for the saddle fitting demo. Please tell your french friends!
