e-mail Ms. Smith | Can anybody give me some constructive advice please. Myself, my partner and 3 children have been living in France for nearly 3 years. We have our own business and are currently struggling financially. The business is barely paying for itself and there is not enough to take a wage after cotisations etc. We are having to basically live off our child benefit, which doesn't stretch far with mortgage payments, bills food etc. We have also recently lost our Carte Vital so have no health cover, due to being unable to pay them. Does anybody know whether there would be any help out there and who we could speak to? | britoninbretagne replied on 06/11/2009 at 21:01 e-mail britoninbretagne | | If you can get hold of this months 'Connexion' newspaper there is a double page article on living with the poor pound and tips on how to save money. |

| orme replied on 07/11/2009 at 16:23 e-mail orme | As far as the Health Care is concerned, have you visited your CPAM office? If not, I suggest you do and make an appointment to talk to someone about your predicament. Take along your tax forms, proof of residence (eg. electricity bill), passports/proof of identity for you and your children, certificates of scolarity for your children, papers justifying ALL your revenues be they from savings or earned etc, CAF number, amounts of any bank interests.

| TerryR replied on 07/11/2009 at 17:31 e-mail TerryR | Is it possible for one of you to continue running the business and the other to find work outside? That way you might be able to keep the business alive until things pick up and still put food on the table.
